THE SPIRIT NAMED PAN

Many creatures, or demonic spirits, that have been called mythological gods are not mythological at all. They are real in the kingdom of darkness. Pan’s appearance in mythology is with horns, ears, and legs of a goat on a man’s body. His sudden appearance was supposed to cause terror similar to a stampeding herd. The word “panic” is derived from his name. Even today he is roaming to and fro devouring people with fear and panic. This spirit is responsible for deaths, panic and anxiety, heart attacks, hospitalizations, often resulting in people taking prescription drugs. People normally feel in their body that they can’t breathe and their heart begins to beat seemingly uncontrollably. This causes fear to rise and makes the person think that they have to be rushed to the hospital.

One of the ancient practices to worship Pan was to have immoral parties to him. Perversion is also one of the common tactics from this spirit. People who give into his plan allow Pan to create bondage and shame upon their lives. This results in major torment, high anxiety, physical heart pains and feelings of insanity as well. I believe the Lord wants to put an end to this spirit’s authority on the earth by waking people up to their true authority and identity in Christ. Because of what Jesus has done for us through the cross, it’s clear that God has given His people authority on the earth as in heaven. Through the Cross, He disarmed principalities and powers and made them a public spectacle. (Colossians 2:15) Jesus then said that He gave us authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. (Luke 10:19) The Lord wants His people to expose and bring this spirit down in the Name of Jesus (II Corinthians 10:1-5).
