Comment to those looking at my sermons: Whatever you find of value, marinate it with prayer. - Blessings.
My blog: http://fireonyouraltar.blogspot.com/
Sermon or series that made a difference: Series of messages:
Changing the spiritual atmosphere to one that is:
Attractive to the Lost;
Repulsive to satan; and
Conducive to a move of the Holy Spirit
One of my favorite illustrations: Peter Lord tells the story of an eagle raised by turkeys, so that they had the eagle nature on the inside, but were living like turkeys on the outside.
Family: I am blessed with a beautiful wife, and 5 children ages 26 ... 14, and one daughter in law.
What my parents think of my sermons: They are both deceased.
What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She is kind and usually says she enjoys them.
Best advice given to me about preaching: Never apologize for what God gives you
Books that have had an impact: Prison to Praise, A Tale of Three Kings, The Normal Christian Life. 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, Jonathon Livingston Seagull, Divine Covenants, anything by Spurgeon.
Hobbies: Woodworking, golf, scifi.
If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Something funny that happened while preaching: On a missions trip a rooster was walking back and forth behind me while I was preaching, I didn’t know till later why the congregation seemed so amused while I was speaking.
What I want on my tombstone: Who will come and go with me, I am bound for the promised land?!
